Integrating Analytics in Quantum4D

You mentioned that data from statistical packages can be imported. I think you stated S-Plus was possible. But I didn’t hear you mention SPSS. I use SPSS 16. Can that data be imported directly from SPSS?

To be clear: these are planned bridges.  They should be easy but implementing them (beyond transferring the results via Excel) will be paying customer driven.  Along those lines we’re in talks with organizations that use EViews, S-plus and FINCAD.  Realistically I wouldn’t expect any such bridges to be in place until – earliest – sometime mid 2010.   In part the challenge is elucidating in which ways Quantum4D amplifies these tools while avoiding work that simply reduplicates their functionality.   I should also add that much of what can be done in these environments can be done in Quantum4D.  The user needs to think in terms of objects and relations but that has the advantage of making equation systems more transparent (and therefore perhaps adding value to model building activities).  There is much to be explored on this front.
