Version 10.06 Release

Label font customization allows the user to choose a font, font style (bold, italic) and font size.

You can now use CAGR in formulas. CAGR is the Compound Annual Growth Rate. This formula can be useful when you want to compare the growth rate over several entities.

There are two new features affecting the Help menu.

We’ve added existing features Manage Attributes and Manage External Data to the Attributes Drop-down and re-organized the drop-down menu options.

Attributes Usages allows you to see where attributes are used throughout your repositories. It’s a convenient way to investigate attributes before selecting one. If there is any confusion over which attribute to use among similarly named attributes, use Attribute Usages to see where they are used.

In an effort to simplify the user experience, the Time Controls panel opens directly from the Time button on the toolbar. Previously, the Time button launched a drop-down menu with Time Controls, Snapshot, Capture All and Record as options. Now Snapshot, Capture All and Record are on the Time toolbar.

 

The database encryption is now hidden, cleaning up the database field. There is an option to “Encrypt Connection”. When checked, the connection is encrypted. Any existing connections opened in this version are automatically encrypted with the Encrypt Connection option checked.  To access the Manage Connections Panel go to Application>Manage Connections. Select a connection and click Edit.

The Equity Trade Data now includes 3 years of historical data and intraday trading data. Previously, Equity Trade Data included 66 trading days of data.

In the Colors panel, you’ll see a new set of default colors. We’ve freshened up the Max, Mid, Min and Default Quantum4D colors.

 

10.06 has many various stability & performance improvements including a complete restructuring of our persistence engine yielding major performance improvement when loading and saving data. The save button is now only enabled when there is a save to be made. If there haven’t been changes, the save button is grayed out.

Note: Upgrades to a shared repository should be done by a Quantum4D administrator. Personal repositories will be upgraded upon opening. A back-up of personal repositories prior to upgrading is highly recommended. 10.06 is an invasive upgrade and may take a notable amount of time to complete.
